Remember Fela’s Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense? Yenusa Akinibosun YS was the lead tenor saxophonist in that track and contributed to many solos on Fela’s records. He was a member of Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s band where he played the Saxophone for many years. He was also the foremost authority for the repairs and maintenance of Saxophones in Nigeria and was part of the ebb and flow of highlife in Nigeria and Ghana from the 50s till his demise.
