Alexis Galleries is set to present Stories We Leave Behind, a joint exhibition featuring Nigerian contemporary artists Olumide Onadipe and Yusuf Durodola, curated by Uche Obasi. Running from November 14 to 28, 2026, the exhibition brings together two artists whose creative practices explore the relationship between discarded materials, memory, human experience and environmental responsibility.

Working with materials often overlooked or thrown away, Onadipe and Durodola give new meaning to objects that have outlived their everyday usefulness. Through their individual approaches to painting, sculpture and mixed media, both artists demonstrate how materials commonly regarded as waste can become powerful forms of artistic expression and storytelling.
