Oba Saliu akanmu adetunji is the current Olubadan of Ibadanland. Saliu, the first of 17 children of Raji Olayiwola and Suwebat Amope Adetubji was born on august 26, 1928 in Ibadan. He started of as a tailor when he moved to Lagos. He later ventured into music record marketing until 1960 when he founded his own record label Omo Aje Records now Babalaje Records.

Omo Aje Record Company attracted notable Nigerian musicians and they grew under the record label into career and financial prominence such as Dauda Epo Akara and Wasiu Ayinde Marshall.

Prior to his coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadan on March 4, 2016 Saliu Adetunji was the Balogun of Ibadanland and Kabiyesi turned 90 this year. The king was a big fan of Sakara singer Salami Balogun. He got so good mention in a couple of tracks by the Sakara maestro, one of which is uploaded below. Both also embarked on Hajj same year.
