Faaji Agba Eko 2018: Lagos music is absolutely evergreen as Africa’s great icons join the December party fiesta. Words by Ireho Aito

It is official as Evergreen Music, a music company known to be Africa’s biggest custodian of good music by Africans announced five great iconic musicians that will be participating in the concert fever and festival of Faaji Agba Eko at Absolute Lagos venue on December 16 2018. The artiste being unveiled are the original music iconoclasts with professional career spanning fifty years of playing good music among them. One of the pioneers of Afrobeat rhythm Orlando Julius Ekemode leads great superstars like Jimi Solanke a singer and actor, Sir Shina Ayinde Bakare who is the scion of the legendary Ayinde Bakare dynasty, he remains a worthy ambassador of African sound. Also, coming for the grand event is Jesse Buga King and the female diva and idol Nigeria judge Yinka Davies who will also double as the compere and host of the fiesta in December.

Quality of works and dedication to African good music make the criteria for selecting these great individuals to be part of the Lagos party. Faaji Agba Eko concert is strictly by invitation.
