Yesterday, 9th of November, 2018, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi read the pathetic story of the legendary folklore musician, Chief Mike Ejeagha and he did the needful today by paying the aged musician a surprise visit.

As was reported, the government has placed Chief Mike Ejeagha on monthly stipend henceforth (a sort of pension) if you like, for the smiles he gave to a lot of people through his music. He went further by granting automatic employment to one of his children to be of family support.
The governor has directed the family to transfer medical details of the Ejeaghas to the state teaching hospital, Parklane, to enable the State government pick up his medical bills henceforth.
He also promised to begin reconstruction of the street leading to Ejeagha’s residence at Abakpa, known as Mike Ejeagha Street, both for the people living there and for those who may want to visit this legend.
