Point of View the Fourth Edition: To be frank, the earth is dying.

Everyone in the hall agreed that the people living on earth must remain earth reclaimer.
The gathering at Alliance Francaise may looked urbane but the world is dying and saving it to live and stay alive is a mandate for all.

January 24th 2020, ushered in a new series of the critically acclaimed Point of View, a monthly series organised by the Ben Enwonwu Foundation in collaboration with the Society of Nigerian Artists and supported by Alliance Francaise, Lagos and Mike Adenuga Center.

By 3.30pm, the theater auditorium opens and participants and speakers started coming in for the colloquium for 4.00pm. Tunde Arogunmati, Principal Consultant Toff Resources Nigeria Limited and veteran journalist Jahman Anikulapo, Polly Alakija, Chairman, Lagos State Council for Art and Culture were the earliest arrivals to the venue.

The cafe at Alliance Francaise kept everyone fixed to their menu table. But the clientele also realised the need to save the world and they joined the series and the auditorium witnessed a full house.

One point of view to note is the delivery of each speaker with the theme for the series; ‘Art as a Driver for Environmental Sustainability.’ They were just apt and their punchlines deserved global headlines. From Desmond Majekodunmi, Sandra Mbanefo Obiago, Polly Alakija to Lucy Lutham, the future of the world lies in the hands of the world.

While the audience held on and were spellbound by the speakers positions of reclaiming the earth from disappearing. An attention worthy of note was the index reports released by the speakers, how far we have gone in damaging our planet. A stitch in time saves nine.
