Telling art remarkable stories

Image is nothing, Obey your thirst. Adewale Alimi is a towering game changer. He rediscovered his lost tool and created a new path to live by starting from the portrait of a boy to sublime art inventions.

The cool breeze blowing directly from the Atican beach resort of Lagos brings freshness to the environment and neighbourhood around it. More, so, coupled with the quick sand that are quickly digging and dragging deep from every slap of movement on it, by almost, swallowing the footsteps and thereby, creating artistic manifestation that people live here after all.

The gentle giant Adewale Alimi hides and lives here with his family. Always recalling their daughter Morayo, bragging about his father copying her art some years ago. Adewale lives in an exclusive bungalow in Ajah, Lagos, “it’s a long journey but it has been worthwhile after all. Alimi moved into his own house just 34 years of age.

He recounted his love for interior decoration gave him the idea of designing his own house. “I was able to sell my idea and concept to the artisans that worked on the project. And they gave me what I wanted. This neighborhood was empty before, until I moved in and there, the place started booming. Nowhere to hide anymore but I am still the godfather,” he concluded.

Adewale Alimi is a self-taught artist. A painter and visioner who modernises his art to command the world attention and the reason the demand for his art so prosperous. Alimi’s art is lucid and substantive with depth of influence. Just like hiss height, his artistic vision towers the lot in acquisition.

Though he remains a quintessential gentleman, cool, calm and collected. He stands at over six feet and more inches to measure. His love for art, has taken him to the highest plains of success stories that are hard to come by from men of his generation. Alimi’s height would have given a pass easily into American basketball draft in the NBA or make him a model on the runway.

He is a native of Oyo State but born and bred in Lagos on the 8th of May, 1974. A pure Lagos boy with a high aptitude to conquer.

Indeed, Alimi reins more in his ability to prove his critics wrong in so many ways. As he expresses on his gene traits “growing up was fun, you will always continue to see some certain traits in your life. I mean the way you tilts towards certain values and you start asking, where did you get this trait from.”

He continues while trying to rest his back on the chair, “I discovered that some of the things I do are as a result of influences that I picked, maybe from my trajectory and their impact in our lives. The roles of our grandfathers, great-grandfathers and others, because artistic influences, at times, always get connected with the family. You might actually be emulating someone in that family.”
