The Rape of Africa:
Bakassi Peninsula 2006.
Mistakes were made during the Scrambling for Africa. One of such was the Bakassi Territory control between the British and Germans which subsequently led to a possession dispute between Nigeria and Cameroon for years. On August 14 2006, The Nigerian Army adhering to a U.N ruling completely pulled out while the Cameroonian Gerdams matched in leaving some people in the northern part of the peninsula uncertain and worried .
