The Chief Commander to Reignite Bar Beach Show at Ariya Eko Music Fest. It is not the first of its kind, but the best of its kind to open in a long while

The late broadcaster, musician, show host and compere, Modupe Art Alade, is always remembered for his great contribution in promoting art and culture in Nigeria, especially music, using his legendary beach show ‘Bar Beach Show ‘ in the 1970s. This show was a show stopper and became part of of every Nigerian musician manual and CV to propel to greatness. Countless greats such as Bala Miller, Dan Maraya Jos, Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade, Fela Kuti and many live bands participated at the show.
This show eventually became the standard bearer for music shows and extravaganza in Nigeria.

Some of the artistes participating at Ariya Eko Music Fest on the 15th of December 2019 were participants at the Bar Beach Show and one of the greats is the legendary Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi
Ebenezer Obey is a rare gem. An African icon to behold and treasure. His grand entrance at the Ariya Eko press conference on the 3rd of December 2019 at Ojez Chinese Restaurant in Lagos was a grandeur. All what he has done and worked for to promote Nigeria and Africa’s music to the global stage is coming to fruition with more younger artistes who could pass as his grandchildren are now performing with global acclaim, even grabbing Grammy nominations.

At the press conference on the 3rd of December at Ojez Chinese Restaurant, the only Nigerian musician with 660 songs in his discography, reiterated his commitment to always support young musicians and enthusiasts to develop in their vocation. And his support has come in numerous aids through lending his voice to music selections as a duet or collaboration and also in technical support through his musical studio.
The living legend promised to bring back the good time of Nigerian music again on Ariya Eko Music Fest at City Hall, Lagos.
