Art | Kim Lieberman -‘Why the Collar?’

I am intrigued with how leadership works, with a good leader the brilliance and support of other leaders are honed

Kim Lieberman posted some of these captivating series for the world to see the new path, as the art stands still due to Covid -19, a global pandemic that has slowed down the world movement.

“Started this portrait of President Ramaphosa for the series – ‘Why the collar?’ Which asks the question: Who’s head are we framing now? Here in Africa. This series responds to the European law in 1700 and 1800s that it was illegal for peasants to wear lace, it was only for royalty.

Now I am looking for an antique lace collar (shoutout to lace makers!) to go with this work. See the others in this series. I am intrigued with how leadership works, with a good leader the brilliance and support of other leaders are honed, generosity and wisdom becomes explicit and finds an activated form.”
