Only On International Women’s Day 2024, Champions Share Memories About the Exhibition.

They are well – heeled patrons with deep knowledge of life. Gathering them at ‘Inspired Eves’ exhibition was well worth it.

The Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, after delivering her keynote address on International Women’s Day at Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Renaissance Center, quickly had a private view of the works on display before her departure. She was well educated by the curator, Biodun Omolayo. After going through the selected works, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, was convinced that the Nigerian woman has come of age. “For the organisers to have come up with this exhibition, it is indeed, a worthy experience. The works highlighted all what we campaigned for and we still do. The Nigerian woman space in our society is important and should be celebrated. The works here are product of hardwork by our men on the women. This is the kind of support, a Nigerian woman craved for. The works exquisitely beautiful. I am proud of everyone,” she concluded

The exhibition proper was declared open by Mrs. Folasade Ambrose – Medeben. And the Commissioner had a feeling of life while inside the gallery, she confessed to the press. She appreciated how many women are thinking outside the box to save fellow women.

Professor Jeleel Ojuade, the Vice Chancellor od Ojaja University, Ilorin, looking dapper and well spoken, congratulated the exhibition organisers. He believed such exhibition like this will bring us back to the national question of what have we done with our moral values and how have we been preserving our culture. He celebrated the womenfolk and also wish the female children that came to the occassion would have learned one or two things.

Charismatic Tunde Arogunmati, the Executive Director of African Incentive Partnerships, was at the exhibtion and he really gave a word of appreciation at the exhibtion. Men honouring women, at a visual art exhibition, in his account is a complete milestone for everyone.

Ronke Babs Odubanjo, an event planner in Lagos, admitted to being carried away the wide compound with a lot of things that could be done. She gave a 10/10 to the organisers and wish them more successful moments. In her remarks, she noted, this is one event in one evening to remember.

The Past President, Lagos State Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Hon. (Mrs) Toki Mabogunje, appreciated the total effort put in place to make the exhibition a great one.

While StellarMario Ochenya Osugba of Zuteri Consulting, congratulated the organizers and the impact of the foundation on vulnerable people and scholarship for the school feeding program was the highlight for her,’ she explained. And she expect the organizers not to relent in their charity arm. She feels it is a good value and everyone should be ready to always try and save lives anywhere they might have been.

In the words of King Jerry, a fashion enterpreneur and the Creative Director of Glamour Magazine; African visual arts, especially Nigeria, is opening those hitherto closed doors in creative businesses globally. Check our artworks, fashion, music and films, the world has started listening to Africa and Africans championed by Nigerians. This event tonight summed everything we have been witnessing about the creative industry in Nigeria.

Mrs. Olabisi Shonibare, also commended on the evening, event and exhibition wishing the organisers more opportunities to do more.
