ALHAJI CHIEF WAHEED AYINLA OMOWURA.

A notable Nigerian musician of the Apala genre.
He was reputed to have had his hands in a number of trades notably taxi driving and others.

He was born into music. His father, Yussuf Amuda was a blacksmith as well as a singer.
His father was also reputed to have tutored M.K.O Abiola in music.

Hadji costly as fondly called by his fans had many aliases and his total ally with Adewole Onila Ola was able to launch out, even from his maiden outing.

Ayinla instantly became an idol to a great number of people, despite being unlettered. He was good with poetic lyrics with unmatchable Rhythm, also proverbial composition,

Ayinla chanted his lyrics with absolute confidence . Anytime he released his albums, Egun Mogaji’s album always had local record shops filled up with his fans, local beer parlours,motor parks, and the likes are not left out of the street carnival like sceneries, you need to be able to match his style of music.
Just like Charles Dickens , Omowura though later had fans amongst the bourgeoises,he started by eulogizing the likes of truck drivers,taxi drivers,market men and women and butchers etal by
churning out lyrics that promoted their trades. He also presented notable tracks to support government programme with the likes of national census,udoji salary awards,also the the then Governor Mobolaji Johnson of Lagos State,s tenement policy.
Ayinla held sway in theWest even with fans up north he had a great number of fans in Mushin, Agege, Oshodi even in Lagos island.
His lyrics touched many happenings be it political,sports,religion,culture.etc
The late Ojubanire ajape was his earlier noted competitor, Ayinla never gave in to any signs of being a novice when it comes to composition of songs.
