World AIDS Day 2023

On 1st December, WHO, together with communities and partners will commemorate World AIDS Day 2023, under the theme “Let communities lead”.

In 2023, Nigeria strives for a unified approach to combat HIV and AIDS, emphasizing empathy and support. By erasing stigma through education, promoting testing, and ensuring access to treatment, the nation fosters a culture of compassion and care. Together, nurturing understanding and solidarity, we forge a path towards positive living amidst HIV and AIDS.

Communities play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s battle against HIV and AIDS. Their support drives awareness campaigns, facilitates testing, and fosters a safe space free of stigma. By promoting inclusivity, education, and access to resources, communities empower individuals to seek testing, treatment, and live positively amidst HIV and AIDS.
