Empowering Women: Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Renaissance Center Hosts “Inspired Eves” Exhibition for International Women’s Day 2024

Ikoyi, Lagos – March 5, 2024 – As the world celebrates Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, the Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Renaissance Center, in collaboration with the United Kingdom Department of Business and Trade,
is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition, “Inspired Eves.” Curated by the esteemed Biodun Omolayo, this exhibition aims to honor the indomitable spirit and achievements of women across the globe.

With the theme “Inspire Inclusion,” and the overarching message of “Invest in women: Accelerate progress,” the center is dedicated to showcasing the diverse talents and contributions of women from all walks of life. Through art, literature, and interactive displays, “Inspired Eves” will highlight the resilience, creativity, and leadership of women throughout history and in contemporary society.

The exhibition will kick off with a grand opening ceremony on March 8th, 2024, at the Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Renaissance Center’s gallery located at 8th Oyinkan Abayomi Drive in Ikoyi. Distinguished guests, including Professor Folasade Ogunsola, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, will deliver keynote address, underscoring the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment.

“We are honored to host ‘Inspired Eves’ as part of our commitment to celebrating and uplifting women,” said Erelu Abiola Dosunmu, the visionary founder of the center. “Women are the pillars of our society, and it is essential to recognize and support their invaluable contributions.”

She stated that among the main features of the event are empowering widows, offering financial support to aid small-scale entrepreneurs, and distributing grants to disadvantaged schools for school feeding programs.

In collaboration with the United Kingdom Department of Business and Trade, the Erelu Yeye Odua Cultural Renaissance Center aims to amplify the voices of women and promote meaningful dialogue on gender equality and women’s rights.

The exhibition will run from March 8th to March 15th, 2024, with daily opening hours from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission is free, and all members of the public are invited to attend and participate in this celebration of women’s achievements.
