It was the renowned metal sculptor and lecturer Olu Amoda, who once told this writer about Tin Island, Apapa, a billion dollar goldmine that we are still not exploiting in all facets of our life. This discussion was held inside the premises of the prestigious Yaba College of Technology and the cerebral teacher gave many points of note why we are a suffering nation. “Nobody wants to dare and start afresh. Everyone wants already made platform. We are missing. Wisdom is all we need and things happen. But who will kickstart? Look at Tin Can Apapa, that is a commercial city big enough to salvage this nation from poverty. But who cares?” Olu Amoda, in his usual activist manner reeled out.

It is one of the most important breathe of life in Lagos. A part of the

Off Confines, a duo – exhibition of Adeola Balogun and Nurudeen Popoola and curated by Moses Ohiomokhare, an aspiring visionary, envisions transforming Apapa and Tin Can Island into thriving art hubs, pulsating with creativity and culture.

QGallery, a hidden gem soon to be adorned with the vibrant strokes and sculptural innovative concepts of two remarkable artists, renowned sculptor, Adeola Balogun and painter Nurudeen Popoola.
