From May 29 to June 1, 2025, the serene, upscale hall of Iwalewa Art Gallery in Lekki, Lagos, was transformed into a hub of energy, experimentation, and ecological conversation. Over four days, artists, creatives, and sustainability advocates came together for a unique workshop and exhibition focused on upcycling and eco-conscious artistic practice.

The Sustainability Art Workshop & Exhibition wasn’t just another arts event, rather, it was a living experiment in creative reuse. Organised as a response to growing environmental concerns and the increasing interest in circular design, the workshop challenged participants to reimagine waste not as refuse, but as raw material for art.
