Lagos, Nigeria — February 2026
The Oluwani Creative Arts Foundation (OAF) is proud to announce a retrospective exhibition of Jefferson Jonahan Works, titled “A Contemporary Master Pastel Artist.” The exhibition opens on 28th February 2026 at 3:00 PM at the National Museum, Onikan, Lagos, and will run until 6th March 2026.
Curated by renowned curator and art consultant Moses Ohiomokhare, the exhibition presents a comprehensive retrospective of Jefferson Jonahan’s artistic journey, offering audiences the opportunity to engage deeply with the evolution, philosophy, and visual language of a contemporary master. Through this carefully structured showcase, viewers will encounter works that reflect both historical consciousness and enduring artistic relevance.
Ohiomokhare’s curatorial approach frames the exhibition as more than a presentation of works. This is a reflective dialogue between time, technique, and artistic identity. His involvement ensures scholarly depth, contextual clarity, and a cohesive narrative that honours the legacy and contributions of the artist.
The exhibition is organised by the Oluwani Creative Arts Foundation, whose growing reputation for delivering culturally significant exhibitions continues to shape Nigeria’s art landscape. In 2025, the Foundation successfully organised the widely acclaimed exhibition of Professor Ebun Clark’s six-decade print collection, reinforcing its commitment to preserving artistic heritage and presenting historically important bodies of work within institutional spaces.
With Jefferson Jonahan Works, OAF once again demonstrates its dedication to fostering artistic appreciation, scholarship, and public engagement within Nigeria’s foremost cultural venues.
The public, collectors, scholars, and art enthusiasts are warmly invited to attend the opening and experience this significant retrospective.
