Veteran broadcaster and actor, Yemi Sidimu, is indeed a collector’s item. He was chosen as the compere of Arya Eko 19 alongside Yinka Davies. Immediately he mounted the stage, the diction on the microphone was enough to attract the attention of everyone in the City Hall.

The compere opened the show with his Co-compere Yinka Davies rendering national anthem. Yemi Sodimu took the audience on a historical journey of the essence of music in Nigeria. A short but accurate and concise music odyssey.

n his elements, the Gbaranda presenter on television, quickly introduced the Evergreen team led by Mr Femi Esho and ably assisted by her daughter Bimbo Esho, both father and daughter have done enormous work in archiving, preserving and promoting Nigerian and Ghanaian original content in music for years.

A timely compering of a show of such magnitude by Yemi Sodimu, a theater Arts graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife will make a unique study for greenhorn on the job. Before leaving the stage for a break, he ushered in the Eko Brass Band.
