Culture | Didi Museum Invites

Georges Gambadatoun @jaiye_regardless is undertaking a bicycle ride across 10 countries in advocacy for reading culture and a rebirth of the African patriotic spirit.

The official launch is in Lagos with a Stage Reading of Sankara written by @judeidada @didimuseum.

@jaiye_regardless wants to stir the spirit of African patriotism and a love for reading through his cross-countries travel.

From Lagos to Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote d Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, The Gambia, Senegal and Burkina Faso, he plans to stop in each country to stage reading or play of the Sankara, and to advocate for the donations of relevant African-centered literature for an envisioned Sankara library in Burkina Faso.

Thomas Sankara was a Pan Africanist and revolutionary who believed in the ethos of a united and prosperous Africa. Unfortunately he was assassinated before he could manifest that dream. Perhaps it’s not too late.

The flag off with the stage reading at the Museum will be on the 18th of May, 2024.

If you’re in Lagos, you should come.
